LAPS Hiatus

LAPS will be taking a hiatus for the rest of this year. We will meet again on the 4th Monday in January at the LakeShore Woman's Club. At that time there will be nominations for new board members. We ask that everyone give some thought over the next few months about what you would like this organization to be for our community and then come together in January to share thoughts and ideas.     The FLORIDA. INLAND. NAVIGATIONAL DISTRICT. is looking for projects. To offer grant money.
    They have to spend it.
    WE HAVE TO ASK!!
    EMAIL me and CM Warren A Jones as well as Jim Love and our waterways commissioners if you are in favor of seeing the underside of the Roosevelt bridge turned into a real park.

    We will see greater success with more constituents reaching out.
    I was told that we need to ask for a bikelane along Lake Shore Blvd between Cambridge and Roosevelt Court.
    Even if we never get the bikelane, this proposal when scaled back, would get the sidewalks connected over the railway and a light or two over the road below the bridge.
    Now is the time to email councilman Jones and his assistant Rupal.
    5 million dollars being spent to mitigate storm water outfall to the Ortega River.
    WHO WILL HELP ME TURN UP THE VOLUME TO FIX THAT BOTCHED RRCROSSING AND FINALLY GET THAT DITCH PIPED AND COVERED? ?
    Mr.Jones met me there a few weeks ago and is in favor of this low cost improvement for the sake of all of our residents!
    He says now is the time-however I am but one voice.

    Please duplicate the efforts and take a couple minutes to compose an email for the short bikelane/sidewalk connection / ditch pipe&covering?
    This small project could help stimulate and beautify our neighborhood so much

    I met a lady a few months ago at the school and she seemed very imformed about LAPS.I have some issues to discusss and was wondering who I could contact. Any information would be helpful.
